Dr. Jefferson has established a universal Standard for facial beauty regardless of race, age, and sex. By treating faces to his Universal Standard, the face is more beautiful, and the facial-skeletal structures are in physiologic harmony, thus maximizing patients’ total health and wellness.

Treating multitude of medical issues via harmonizing the facial-skeletal complex which Dr. Jefferson pinned the term, Craniofacial Medicine, is not yet recognized by the dental and medical profession. It is hoped that the information from this website will help the public and the healthcare profession to learn and to recognize this mode of treatment and perhaps it will be more understood and accepted in the future.
Using this technique, Dr. Jefferson has treated various medical conditions, including but not limited to severe migraine headaches, sleep apnea, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), poor physical development, poor academics, and certain seizures without the use of medication or surgical intervention.

Dr. Jefferson has lectured nationally and internationally. He has asked attendees by raising their hands which profile is the most beautiful. Nearly 100 per cent of the time, they all selected Profile F. Profile F conforms to Divine Proportion. The other profiles do not. Profile F is the lateral view which Dr. Jefferson has defined as a Universal Standard for Facial Beauty. In treating patients for over 35 years via Functional Orthodontic therapy, Dr. Jefferson has treated all his patients to Profile F regardless of race, age, sex, and ethnicity.
Facial Profiles A thru E have aesthetic issues as well as medical issues such as upper airway obstruction or TMD/migraine headaches, etc. For all Functional Orthodontic practitioners, the treatment target for all their patients should be to position the maxillary and mandibular skeletal structures via Functional Orthodontic Therapy so that their patient’s soft tissue profile conforms to Profile F.
